Equipments

The new tower, in fact, have an observation room at 35 metres above sea level. It is situated in a strategic point in the port from which the Pilots will be able to control all the berths within the port and also have an uninterrupted view of the Gulf of Naples. Latest technology is used for the installation of all equipment and the integrated monitoring and control system will include:

• a band-X radar with service monitor;
• a T.V.C.C. system for the visual control of traffic with n. 2 rotating videocamera and presentation monitor with registration of data;
• Processing of radar data with acquisition of the routes; integrated presentation of cynematic and forecasting data on electronic charts with the purpose of identification, navigation control and registration of data. Able to be integrated, without significant modifications, with other radar equipment, VHF radio and positions for radar operators;
• N. 1 position for radar operator with 21" screen;
• N. 4 VHF radio for comunication purposes;
• Weather station which includes:
• Weather sensors with computer, and registration of data;
• Receiving station from Meteosat satellite.
• Radiobecom in V.H.F. integrated with radar for identification of targets;
• Apparatus Navtex
